Special Effects – Fog, Water & Cryogenic Effects
Fog effects are the backbone of our business. We have been designing cryogenic, chemical and water based fog effects for over 25 years and in that time we have developed some of the most spectacular and ground breaking effects seen in the theme park industry to date.
Fog effects can be broken down into four specific areas, namely; Cryogenic, chemical, high pressure water (Koolfog™) and pyrotechnic.
Cryogenic fog effects use the science of the very cold and mainly two different cryogens; Liquid nitrogen and liquefied carbon dioxide. Our Ice Cannons are known throughout the nightclub industry and provide awesome blasts of freezing fog that can engulf an entire dance floor in just a few seconds. Also in this band of fog effects are Expansion Foggers which use warm water or steam together with liquid nitrogen to create very large low fog effects for masks, reveals and use in 3D theatres and cinemas.
For outdoor attractions, on water, ice rinks or where cost effectiveness and minimum running costs are important, High Pressure Water Fog (Koolfog™) is the answer. Koolfog™ is REAL fog! Using no more than pure water, Koolfog systems create real fog that drifts and rolls like dry ice but, as it is just water, at a fraction of the cost.
